No Computer

So I have a good excuse as to why I haven't had a new post for a bit, our computer is down for the moment. It is complicated and I don't really want to bore you with the details. Cassandra, my sister-in-law, was willing to let us use her lap top until our computer is up and going again. Thanks Casa!! Just a little update, we are all done with our Christmas shopping and the boys are anxiously waiting for Santa to come. We have a tradition that we do each year with Davids side of the family that to some might seem a little crazy. On Christmas Eve we have a party over and Davids parents house where we eat tons of food and goodies and play games. Around eight that night we put all the young kids to bed so Santa can come and the adults play more games and make candy bags for the kids, then just before midnight we wake the kids up and wait for midnight to hit and when it does we go around the room to everyone and tell them Merry Christmas and give them a hug. After all the hugs we sit down and open up all our gifts. It gets to be a crazy mess in there with all the boxes and wrapping paper and when it is all done it is aroung one thirty in the morning. Crazy tradition but we all look forward to it. It makes it nice because this way we have Christmas morning to go to my parents house and spend that with them and my side of the family. We enjoy the holiday season, being able to spend time with family and friends, decorate, bake those yummy holiday goodies, but most of all celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. I hope we can all take the time to remember and reflect upon what is important this season. I will hopefully have my computer up and running again but until then sorry there wont be any pictures. Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas spent with family and friends.

Happy "Late" Halloween

Ok so I know that this post is a couple weeks late but alot of stuff was going on around Halloween and then I have been sick with a nasty cold for the last week in a half so better late then never right. The boys did not just get to go trick or treating once but three different times this year. Jared and Kassey offered to take the boys to their wards trunk r' treat the Wednesday before Halloween, we took them to Davids parents ward Halloween party at the Vista Assisted Living Center where they were able to decorate Halloween buckets and go around to the residents and trick or treat and finally on Friday we went to the Minico playoff football game where the booster club organized a trunk r' treat for the community and those who were attending the game. Ian and Greyson had tons of fun this year trick or treating and they got lots of candy.

This year Greyson was a tiger. He looked so cute with his big brown eyes and the cute tiger face.

Ian wanted to be several different things this year but ended up being a dinosaur. We took a frog costume and with the help from my mom added some spikes and a tail to the back to look like a dinosaur. He really liked it and looked way cute.

Costume Party

Our good friends Bud and Tiffany Jensen threw an adult Halloween party this year at their new home. To attend you had to dress up in a costume. David had a hard time deciding what he wanted to go as but finally decided on the Incredible Hulk. I wanted to go as a dead bride but couldn't find a really cheap wedding dress to wear so I settled for a gothic bride. We found all our costume stuff at the DI and Wal-Mart so they were pretty cheap. It was so fun to paint ourselves and dress up like little kids again. Their was a costume contest for the best boy and girl costumes. With my amazing face painting abilities David won for the boys and our friend Brandi Meiners won for the girls as Cruella de Ville. Hopefully this will become a tradition to look forward to each year because it is always fun to dress up and spend time with your friends.

One last trip to the park

I decided one day after going into have lunch with David that I would take the boys to the park to play on the toys one last time before the weather got too cold.

Crossing the bridge never seemed to bother Greyson before but for some reason this time he was a little timmed to cross so I had Ian help him cross a couple of times before he felt comfortable doing it himself.

Ian loves to use his climbing skills but it scares me to watch him do it and Greyson had four other slides to choose from but always came back to these two and would always say "bump, bump" while going down.

Yard Additions

We were able to get some new landscaping in before summer was over but it will have to wait till next year to get dressed up with bushes and flowers. I am going to try and plant some tulip bulbs this year before it gets too cold.

First Doctor Visit

I went to the doctor today and thought that I would just update everyone on what is happening. They put me at 5 weeks and 5 days so that makes my due date May 22nd 2009. I am feeling pretty good so far other than feeling more tired but David says I am more annoyed with stuff already. I guess only time will tell at how this pregnancy will go. I will keep you all updated and keep your fingers crossed for a girl.

Brand New Bedroom

This last weekend we took on the project of painting the boys room and moving Greyson in with Ian so that he could have his own big boy bed. The room to start was all white walls and Ian was on a full sized bed. We found a bunk bed set at a yard sale for $20 and splurged a bit to buy them matching bed sets. We painted one wall a dark blue (David likes it because it is the color of the Dallas Cowboys) and the other three walls we painted a beige color. We are really happy with the way it turned out and the boys love it. Greyson adjusted well to sleeping in his bed but now instead of having it completely dark in his room like in the nursery and sleeping till 9:00 he is up way too early and wont go back to sleep. This is the before picture.

Ian and Greyson both tried their hand at painting but the rolled was a little heavy for Greyson that he didn't like it.

Here is the finished project. This is Ian's bed that I told him he has to make every day once he gets up and going. So far it hasn't been too bad with a little help from mom.

This is Greyson's bed that he was soo excited to sleep in. It is a good thing that this one had rails because he is a CRAZY sleeper and he would probably have ended up on the floor every night if it didn't have them. Now we just have to work on sleeping in a little longer for my sake.

Wyatt's Soccer Skills

I guess this is mostly for family that looks at my blog but I thought that I would get some pics of my little brother Wyatt playing soccer for the Minico JV team. He has always liked playing soccer and still has three more years to perfect his game but for now he is doing pretty good. So far this season he has made two goals and really tries to get in there and be aggressive. We are really proud of him and his hard work and wish him luck with the rest of his soccer games this season.

Announcment!

I just thought that I would let all of you know that I am expecting our third child and we are way excited. I am really hoping for a girl this time so everyone cross your fingers. I think having a little girl intimidates David because our boys are way into the sports stuff and he is way into the sports stuff so girly stuff is kind of unknown to him. Boy or girl though we will love them the same.

Ian's Lego Design

The other day Ian was playing with his legos and after a while he called us in to see his design. To our surprise we saw that he had built the Temple. When asked what it was he proudly said that it was the Temple that we had gone and seen. It is amazing what a child can take in without you knowing. We are so happy that he enjoyed the Temple enough to make it one of his designs.

Our trip to the Temple!!

What a wonderful experience to have been a part of. Going to the Twin Falls Temple open house with our family and some of our relatives was just a great blessing. The spirit that was felt that day is unforgettable. We were also blessed to have the opportunity to help with the open house. David was able to help both days of our stakes assigned days and I was able to help with one. The willingness of so many members to take time out of their busy days was so awesome. This once in a life time experience will never be forgotten.

Our two little future missionaries looking so handsome(minus their long shaggy hair)

We were also blessed to have been able to participate in the dedication of the Twin Falls Temple. Even though we were not in the presence of President Monson and other General Authorities during the dedication you could feel of their love for our Savior, for the temple, and for us as members of the church. It is such a blessing to have this temple in our midst. I hope that we can attend it often and partake of it blessings.

Playing in the water!

So it was a first at our house today, the boys finally were able to play in the water. Since we had to replant our grass at the beginning of the summer and it seemed like it took forever to grow in, the boys never could play outside on the grass or in the water. We finally decided to let them and they had a great time. We set a sprinkler out for them to run through but that never seemed to be what they wanted to do. Ian just used the sprinkler to fill up buckets and water my plants and Greyson barley got close enough to get wet. It was still great to see them play in the water and on our lawn.

Birthday Boys!

The month of August is not only busy with softball, trips, and yard work it is also both Ian and Greyson's Birthdays. This year Ian turned 4 and Greyson turned 2. We have a combined party for the two of them since their birthdays are only three days apart and so we can kill two birds with one stone. I like to be creative with their cakes so this year we had a prehistoric theme and I tried my hand at making a dinosaur cake. It really didn't take too long and I think that it turned out GREAT!! The boys had a great time opening presents and playing in the jump house with their cousins. We can't wait till next year!

They both were waiting there so patiently to open their presents.

Anxiously waiting to sink there teeth into the cake while we all sang Happy Birthday. Greyson now says Happy Birthday to you and thinks it's pretty funny.

The birthday boy is enjoying his cake and ice cream.

Procrastonators

Sorry everybody we have been very slacky about posting our lives, so here is a lot of catch up, enjoy.

Lagoon at its best!!

The Bumper cars were a big hit, (no pun intended) here is a little video of Ian giving Greyson a ride. Greyson seems to be a little upset that he couldn't drive his own car.

Here is what a long day at Lagoon will do to your kids.

Lagoon!!

Here are all the kids ready for the day at Lagoon! Sunglasses, sun block, shorts, and energy for the day, all in check.
Here is the nice water display that Lagoon has added in to help keep you cool before you go to the beach. The kids were very entertained by it.
Ian and I went on this small version of The Rocket, Ian had a blast and laughed the whole time.
Can't get through without going on the Merry-go-round.
At dinner time Ian lucked out and got one of his favorite meals, corn on the cob. Jacobi on his right was amazed how fast he ate the thing.

Summer Vacation

Last week we went on a vacation with the Molinas to Utah. We went camping at Cherry Hill and also went to Lagoon. Cherry Hill is one of the funnest camp grounds around, they have an awesome water park that is fun for adults and also very kid friendly. They have some great water slides and nice camp spots for trailers or tents. Here is Ian and his cousin Braxton setting up their first tent together, with a little help.
Ian is always so focused when he is working on something.
They sure did a good job, and they are proud of it.
Later that night the kids had a good time playing with the old fishing game. It was a little funny because the kids were getting a little angry when they had a hard time catching the fish.

Ian is such a good big brother!

Ian is such a good helper around the house and is always so excited to see little babies anytime he gets around them(I think he is ready for a little sister). The other day David was getting ready to change Greyson's diaper and Ian asked if he could do it, so here it is.

Greyson was such a good sport about it too.

He helped all the way to the end.

Proud Boys

Here is Greyson proud to be wearing mommy's hat. Greyson is definatley a hat boy, there are times when he wakes up in the morning and spots his hat, so he puts it on and wears it all day long and will have a fit if you try to take it from him.

Ian is very proud of this three foot long gummy snake that his dad found for him. He just can't wait to sink his teeth into it.
